cancellation + reschedule
We understand that illness and unexpected schedule changes can happen. If one of our patients is feeling unwell or needs to cancel a scheduled session outside of the 48-hour cancellation/reschedule window, we want to remind you of our great options to keep therapy on track.
1. You may choose to meet virtually through a video or telephone session. These telehealth sessions can include our patient, or simply be a conversation between the therapist and family to discuss strategies/goals, explain new home programming, in addition to other ways to continue supporting progress at home. Maintaining weekly therapy sessions, even if they aren’t in person, helps ensure the best possible outcomes for therapy goals.
2. You may reschedule your appointment for another day. Our office manager is happy to help find another day and time for a make-up session. While we will try to reschedule your session with the same therapist, that is not always possible.
Consistency is key to steady progress, and we’re committed to supporting our patient’s growth in whatever way works best for families. PickleTree is a busy office and we have a limited number of spots on our caseload. We cannot fill any missed appointments temporarily or with new patients. Each patient takes one of the limited appointment times on our caseload, therefore, cancellations are limited and late cancellations without rescheduling will result in fees.
If you need to modify or reschedule, please email your therapist for that particular session (and our office manager) to change the appointment to telehealth for the original scheduled time, or to request a rescheduled appiontment.
